BATTLE THROUGH TRICKY’S FOUR PHASES

In FNF Vs. Tricky v3: Clowned Out (2026), the main story follows Tricky through four increasingly challenging forms. Each phase introduces a different visual style and changes how the rhythm battle works.

  • Improbable Outset: The opening song introduces Tricky while he still wears his mask. The battle follows the familiar FNF note system, making it a good introduction to the remake.
  • Madness: Tricky removes his mask as the Nevada setting becomes more chaotic. The song moves faster and requires quicker reactions as the battle continues.
  • Hellclown: Tricky transforms into a huge flaming skull while Boyfriend becomes much smaller. Red fire notes appear during this phase, creating a special rule that changes the normal rhythm pattern.
  • Expurgation: The final phase adds even tougher mechanics. Death notes can end the song immediately, while regular misses cause heavier health penalties. Static effects and timed sign events also make the battle harder to follow.

Difficulty Options

The first three songs offer Easy, Normal, and Hard difficulties. Their remixes add Erect and Nightmare versions for players looking for a greater challenge. Assault and Tiky use Easy, Normal, and Hard. Expurgation also features an option that makes its special mechanics more forgiving. This setting changes how death notes affect the health bar and reduces the health drain.
